Adam Mickiewicz 1798-1855

One of the greatest Polish poets, who exerted an enormous influence on Polish political and ideological currents in the Period of Partitions. His works include narrative poems Grażyna, and Konrad Wallenrod, the poetic drama Dziady (Forefathers’ Eve), as well as Sonety krymskie (Crimmean Sonnets), Księgi Narodu Polskiego i Pielgrzymstwa Polskiego, and the epic poem Pan Tadeusz (Sir Thaddeus).
